Alongside the classic activities such as hiking and biking in summer in the Ötztal, there are several other highlights waiting to be discovered.
Have you, for example, ever set out on a rafting tour amidst the unspoilt and wild landscape of the Ötztal Alps? Through gorges and rapids, Europe’s No. 1 rafting tour takes you through the gorge in Imst and through unspoilt floodplains. Canyoning in the nearby Alpenrosenklamm or Auerklamm gorges, allows you to experience the impressive mountains close up. Adventure pure.
If you prefer exploring nature at a leisurely pace and keeping healthy at the same time, the Ötztal offers the perfect conditions for extended Nordic walking tours. Walking with poles trains the upper body and arms and promotes coordination. An ideal endurance training that is easy on the joints.
GEOCACHING ÖTZTAL
WHY NOT GO ON A TREASURE HUNT IN THE ÖTZTAL
Set off with a map on a treasure hunt. Along various routes, you discover small treasure chests, riddles, letters and numbers and so on, in the most unusual places.
Once all the treasure chest have been found and the problems solved, you can collect your own pieces of treasure from the local tourist office. Suitable for children up to 16 years of age.
