Climb one of the most brilliant ski mountains of the western Stubai range directly from the hotel. You can choose whether you want to climb the Grieskogel as an extensive day tour, or with an overnight stay at the Gubener or Winnebachsee hut.

There are two routes to choose from:

Through Grasstalltal
The ascent begins at the cross-country ski track, diagonally through a meadow valley that leads directly into Grasstalltal.  The trail takes you past a small water reservoir up to a red bench and then along the signposts to the summer trail, which leads up to the valley entrance. If you prefer to take the flat route, choose the forest path with several hairpin bends. You will come to Grasstall Lake, where you follow the course of the stream to then turn right into the open slopes above the lake. Circle the lake to reach the glacier tongue. A steep ascent to the edge of the Grasstallferner glacier. You may be exhausted, but exhilarated to have reached the summit on your skis and be rewarded with a fantastic view.

Through the Larstig Valley
The 2nd route is just as exciting and challenging. You follow the path into the Horlach valley until you reach the Larstighöfen and the Gubener hut. To the right, the slope goes up into the Larstig valley. At the end of the valley, the trail leads over the Larstigscharte, where you change to the slopes on the south side and the trail leads to the summit.
