Starting point is the car park of the Sennhof in Niederthai. The tour begins comfortably and leads along the Horlachtalweg for 7 kilometers in the direction of the Schweinfurter Hütte (2,034 m). Shortly before the hut, the trail branches off to the left and runs over a somewhat steeper slope in the direction of Weites Kar until it reaches a fork in the road. If you follow the path to the right over the summit slope, you will reach the destination at 2,945 m.
